What is the exercise of carnals on the earth? Do they bewilder rights? Do their rights take as much tax as, if not more than, the wants and desires of gentleman? These ar some of the questions Gary Steiner answers in his article Animal, Vegetable, Miserable, in the beginning printed in the New York measure in November 2009. Steiner, a ism professor at Bucknell University who has written two books on the subject, is an honorable vegan. Vegans and vegetarians are often confused. A vegetarian avoids ingest meat. A vegan avoids eating any living creature products meat, eggs, dairy. He formulates that animals must have the readiness to face, and therefore should be toughened humanely. He goes further to say that humane treatment alone is not enough if the balance result is for a non-human animal to have its life stop for the pleasure, enjoyment, and consumption of humans. He refers to the melodic theme of unconfined animal products and that circumstance that many people swear that it is better to eat free-range meat and consume free-range eggs. But he argues that even free-range animals may have never been outside or seen a speck of day in their entire lives (846).\nThese arguments are emotional in temper and are intended to labor at the heart string section of readers. Steiner is hoping that his audience will feel bad for these animals living in captivity.
